Welcome Dinner
Starts at 5PM and will be Filipino Boodle Fight* style.
Boodle Fight is a Filipino tradition that involves various foods splayed out on a table, often placed on banana leaves. This is traditionally done kamayan style or just using your hands, no utensils used. But don’t worry, if you are not comfortable with this, there will be utensils available.
The “fight” began as a Philippine military tradition during the period of American colonisation. And the word “boodle” was army slang for certain treats. So in essence, a “boodle fight” is all about multiple people coming together to eat a feast. :)
Attire:
Gents: Solid coloured button up and chino/linen pants OR barong tagalog (Filipino traditional attire for men) with chino pants.
Ladies: Beach casual such as blouse/top and linen pants/shorts OR summer dress OR you may also wear a Filipino baro or camisa and skirt/shorts
